Mission Types

Mission Youth provides three mission types that increase in their level of intensity and spiritual depth.

Impact Missions
Impact Missions introduce missionaries to the joy of serving others and making a difference in their local community. Impact missions are shorter and the work typically involves a humanitarian focus

High Impact Missions
High Impact Missions engage missionaries in speaking to others about what they believe. As a result, this mission level requires more apologetics training so that missionaries are equipped to share and defend their Catholic faith. High Impact Missions challenge youth to go outside themselves and give more to evangelize and serve in new locations.

Extreme Missions
Extreme Missions demand youth to give their all in extreme conditions, doing work that requires greater formation and generosity. Extreme Missions require the missionaries to have a passion for evangelization and give a strong witness to their faith. Because conditions are more difficult, the
mission is a more intense experience of self-conquest and self-giving.

Holy Week Missions
Spend Holy Week at Christ’s side. As he gives his life for you, hit the streets to bring his love to others. Mission Youth offers Holy Week Missions in eight dioceses throughout the United States and Canada. Mission Youth offers mission tracks for many ages, including young men and women ages 16+, Challenge Mission Arrow for girls ages 14–15, ConQuest FIRE Missions for boys ages 14–15, and Family Missions. Weekend Missions
A few days can make a difference if you make them a mission! Weekend Missions offer a chance to spend a weekend with your friends going door-to-door sharing your faith with others and serving the needs of the local parish. You’ll be surprised what an impact a few days can make!



Angel for a Day Impact Mission
Spend a day of faith and fun being an “angel” for the children of your community! The Angel for a Day mission is an impact-level mission in your own community that brings together young people as “angel” volunteers to prepare activities for underprivileged children and treat them to a day full of faith, fun and sports.

Crosswalk Impact Mission
Bring your faith to the streets and walk the way of the cross with Christ! The CrossWalk Mission is an impact level mission in your own community that invites people to participate in a public procession of the Stations of the Cross sponsored by your local group.

Christmas Room Impact Mission
Do you want to help youth and families find a place for Christ this Christmas? Amidst the hustle and bustle of last minute Christmas shopping, offer Christ a room in your parish or school. Then, like the shepherds, go out to announce the miracle of Christmas and bring them to worship the newborn king. The goal of the Christmas Room Mission is to bring people back to Mass and help them discover the true meaning of Christmas.
