Missionary Training
Author: Mission Youth
The Missionary Training portion of the Holy Week Missions challenges young people and families to follow Jesus as a "Missionary for Life", by shaping their lives according to the teachings of Jesus and as active members of the Catholic Church.
Missionaries receive practical mission training including skits, games, and songs, as well as catechetical formation which equips them to share and defend the faith. The training is not just aimed at the mind, but also at the heart and the will. The goal: for missionaries to come away not only with greater knowledge of their faith, but also with greater desire and resolve to live it out.
Here is a sample of the R.E.A.L. training that missionaries could receive during Base Camp Training for their Holy Week Mission.
